Product details

VI Chemical Peel

Medical-grade resurfacing that goes meaningfully deeper than anything sold over the counter, with downtime measured in days rather than weeks.

How it works

A blend of TCA, retinoic acid, salicylic acid, phenol, and vitamin C penetrates past the surface layer to accelerate cell turnover and interrupt melanin production. Old damaged skin sheds. New skin comes in brighter, clearer, and more even.

Worth knowing: VI Peels are formulated to be safe across all skin types including deeper skin tones, which is not true of every medical peel. Pigment concerns in melanin-rich skin are exactly where a lot of resurfacing goes wrong, and this is the peel we reach for when that is the situation.

Choosing your formulation

VI Peel Original — the foundational formula. Best for first-timers, general dullness, early aging, and maintenance. If you have never had a medical peel, start here.

VI Peel Precision Plus — adds a pigment-targeting booster with kojic acid, hydroquinone, and retinoic acid. This is the one for melasma, sun spots, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, and stubborn discoloration.

VI Peel Purify — reformulated for active, oily, congested skin. Targets the bacteria and excess oil driving current breakouts.

VI Peel Purify with Precision Plus — treats active acne and the dark marks left behind at the same time. The right call when you are fighting both breakouts and the scarring shadows from past ones.

VI Peel Advanced — built for mature skin with a focus on fine lines, elasticity, and collagen stimulation.

Not sure which? Choose the one closest to your main concern and your provider will confirm or redirect at your appointment. Nothing is locked in until we look at your skin.

What it treats

  • Hyperpigmentation and melasma
  • Sun damage and dark spots
  • Active acne and acne scarring
  • Uneven texture and enlarged pores
  • Fine lines
  • Dullness and loss of clarity

Are you a candidate?

Good candidate if: you have pigment, sun damage, acne scarring, or texture concerns and can afford 5 to 7 days of visible peeling.

Not a candidate if: you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you are on Accutane or have been within the last 6 months, you have an active cold sore or skin infection, or you have an aspirin allergy.

Plan around it: do not schedule a peel within two weeks of an event. The peeling phase is not subtle and it is not something makeup solves.

What to expect

Before: stop retinoids for 5 to 7 days. No waxing, no sun exposure, no other exfoliation for a week prior.

During: about 30 minutes. Solution applied in layers, with tingling and warmth that builds and then settles. You go home with the solution still on your face and wash it off at the time we specify.

After, day by day:

  • Days 1 to 2: skin feels tight and looks slightly bronzed
  • Days 3 to 5: active peeling. Do not pick, do not pull, do not exfoliate. Let it release on its own
  • Days 6 to 7: peeling completes and new skin is visible

A full aftercare kit and written instructions go home with you.

Results: visible at day 7, with continued improvement over the following 4 weeks as turnover completes.

Protocol: a single peel makes a real difference. A series of 3 spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart is standard for significant pigment or scarring.
